We are working towards improvements in training and the certification process

Improving Networking and Operator communication by: |

Organizing
regular plant tours |
 |
Organizing
site-specific training (suitable for TCH approval) i.e., nitrogen removal,
solids handling, U.V. disinfection, etc. |

Improving operator certification exams and working with the DEP and
legislators to ensure that certification regulations reflect the needs of
the wastewater treatment profession in Connecticut. |

No tour have been scheduled at this time.The Education Coalition subcommittee would like to schedule @
least 6 plant
tours /

- To serve as a forum for the exchange of
information and experiences in the Environmental Laboratory and promote
opportunities for professional, technical and personal growth of the members.
- To organize and unite all Environmental Laboratory personnel and other
interested persons in the State of Connecticut and neighboring states, into a
relationship of mutual assistance, problem solving, communication and
cooperation.
- To raise the standards of Environmental Laboratory Services by securing and
maintaining the conditions essential to producing the best professional service.
- To actively promote a professional relationship with other Environmental
groups in the certification, regulation and upgrading of jobs &
laboratories, education, and safe working conditions.
- To promote public education in the field of Environmental Testing and
related issues.
